GREG SHIRLEY

Born in Houston, Texas, Greg Shirley spent the majority of his youth traveling with his parents all along the southern coast. His dad was a brick mason who followed the warmer, sunnier weather. The family would listen to country, western, classic rock and folk music on the radio in the early '70s to the mid '80s during long travels up and down the American southern highways. Greg's family usually settled in the beachfront towns all along the coastline from Texas to North Carolina. It was here in these laid back fun-loving coastal towns that music really ingrained its sound into Greg's soul and became a constant companion in his day to day life. Both of his parents had a talent for music: Greg's father became a southern gospel bass vocalist later in his life, while his mother played the guitar and was a fan of the folk sounds of the '60s and '70s.
